Banneker football student-athletes recently participated in the Kirby Smart Football Camp, taking part in 7-on-7 competition and position-specific training sessions as part of the team's summer development efforts.
The event provided Trojan athletes with an opportunity to compete against players from across the state while continuing to build skills ahead of the upcoming season.
Banneker's skill position players competed in 7-on-7 drills throughout the day, focusing on communication, execution, and situational football. The competitive environment allowed players to gain valuable reps and experience against quality competition.
Meanwhile, the Trojans' offensive and defensive linemen participated in instructional sessions designed to improve technique, footwork, and overall performance in the trenches. Players received hands-on coaching while working through drills tailored to their positions.
The camp served as another step in Banneker's offseason preparation, giving athletes an opportunity to develop their skills, strengthen team chemistry, and represent the program among some of the state's top talent.
With summer workouts continuing, the Trojans remain focused on preparing for the season ahead.
