The Trojan football team made a statement Friday night, opening the official season with a dominant 40-0 victory over Mundy’s Mill.
Following an electric pep rally earlier in the day, the Trojans carried that same energy onto the field. From the opening whistle, Banneker controlled the game on both sides of the ball, with the defense delivering a complete shutout performance.
Offensively, Jabari Wade led the way with four rushing touchdowns, helping power the Trojans to 40 points. Wade also made several spectacular catches.
The Banneker defense was just as impressive. Kendyl WattsDaniels recorded an interception from the defensive end position. Jordan Presley was a force in the backfield throughout the night, disrupting the line of scrimmage and making plays for the Trojans.
The focus now shifts toward continuing to improve and carrying the same intensity into the next matchup. Banneker begins the season 1-0 with one goal in mind: go 1-0 every week.
