Banneker High School Wrestling competed in the GHSA Region 3 AAAAA Traditional Tournament, earning multiple podium finishes and securing several sectional qualifications as the Trojans continued postseason competition.
Leading the Trojans were Marquis Myles (126 lbs) and Jadon Blackmon (157 lbs), both finishing 2nd place in their respective weight classes after strong performances throughout the tournament.
Additional podium finishes came from Treyveon Baker (113 lbs) and Joshua Cruz (Heavyweight), who each earned 3rd place finishes. Jaquan Douglas (132 lbs) added to the Trojans’ success with a 4th place finish, while Kyre Hunter-Baptiste (144 lbs) and Jaleel Thioye (175 lbs) each placed 5th and were named alternates.
With multiple students advancing, Banneker Wrestling continues its postseason journey with great momentum and focus.
